There lit a flame of darkness in a palace of light. Though fierce, it was one whose warmth could not bring delight. Its shadow, indeed, knocked birds out the sky, yet it only tried to lift them up high. They called it danger, showed it anger, then asked why it burnt so deep. They tried to calm its fury. The Mortal's Complaint

This night, when the time is right— Soon, When the time is right, Death will strike. So you can say your goodbyes. Now, my dear, Close your eyes. Death arrives. He knocks on your door, He takes your soul, Leaving a scent of burnt-out coal. Now you wonder— Was your life whole? You didn't achieve Any goal... But what's the point? Death already took your soul.

Interitus {Destruction}

I sought power, To conjure and devour, New moves I made, Found clues of jade, To a new crusade! And a flawless façade— If only power would never fade. I found a treasure, One worth more than gold, One that could never, ever get old. So I went on to scour, To conjure and devour, In my thirst for power. Now I acknowledge— The power I seek, That power is knowledge. True power is knowledge.
